About Savitribai Phule portrait Rangoli
Janata Vidyalaya Munjwad, an educational institute in India, has a long-standing tradition of honoring renowned Indian social reformers through art. In January 2023, they decided to break the world record of the largest Savitribai Phule portrait rangoli ever made by creating an 11,000 square feet portrait using 28 artists and over 10 days of dedicated work. The project was meticulously planned and each artist had their own small portion of the design to create. Despite the immense size and complexity of the design, all 28 artists worked in harmony with each other to create a masterpiece out of colored sand and flowers. The result was breathtaking; a beautiful and intricate portrait of Savitribai Phule that proudly stood in the middle of Janata Vidyalaya's campus. The school hosted a grand celebration in honor of their achievement, with a grand parade through town and an awards ceremony for all 28 artists.
